QR Code Scam in India: QR Scan Se Paisa Chala Gaya To Kya Karein?
QR code convenient payment method hai, lekin scammers QR codes ka use phishing, fake payment requests, impersonation aur malicious links ke liye bhi kar sakte hain. Important point ye hai ki QR code scan karna aur paisa receive karna same thing nahi hota; payment screen par details verify karna zaroori hai.
QR scam ka common pattern
- Fraudster refund ya payment receive karne ka reason batata hai.
- Victim ko QR code scan karne ko kehta hai.
- Victim payment screen par amount ya beneficiary verify nahi karta.
- Unauthorized payment complete ho sakta hai.
Agar paisa debit ho gaya ho
- Bank or payment app ko immediately inform karein.
- Financial cyber fraud ke liye 1930 par report consider karein.
- National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal par complaint register karein.
- Transaction ID or UTR preserve karein.
- QR code, chat, phone number and payment screen screenshots save karein.
